1. Agreement to Terms
By registering for, attending, or participating in any GMI Cloud hackathon event — whether in-person within the United States or virtually anywhere in the world (collectively, the "Event") — you ("Participant") agree to be bound by these Official Rules, Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not register for or participate in the Event.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and GMI Cloud. GMI Cloud reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time, with notice provided via the Event's official website or communication channels. Continued participation after such notice constitutes acceptance of the amended Terms.
2. Eligibility
- Participants must be at least 18 years of age at the time of registration. If the Event permits minors (ages 13–17), a parent or legal guardian must complete registration and sign a separate parental consent form on their behalf.
- For in-person events held in the United States, Participants must be legally permitted to be present in the U.S. at the time of attendance.
- Employees, contractors, officers, directors, and immediate family members of GMI Cloud and its affiliates, sponsors, and judges are not eligible to compete but may attend in official capacities.
- GMI Cloud reserves the right to verify eligibility at any time and to disqualify any Participant who does not meet eligibility requirements.
3. Event Format
GMI Cloud hackathons may be conducted in one or more of the following formats:
- In-Person (United States): Held at a designated physical venue within the United States. Participants are responsible for their own travel, accommodation, visas, and any costs associated with attending.
- Virtual (Global): Conducted online via GMI Cloud's designated platforms. Participants from any country may join, subject to applicable local laws and any embargoed jurisdictions under U.S. export control regulations. GMI Cloud does not guarantee access from all jurisdictions and bears no responsibility for connectivity or regional access restrictions.
GMI Cloud reserves the right to change, postpone, or cancel any Event format at its sole discretion, with reasonable notice provided where practicable.
